The village of Ginoza, halfway down east coast of Okinawa Island, is set between the beautiful cobalt blue sea and the subtropical greenery of the land. Hiramatsu chose this enchanting location, with its beautiful views of the rising sun, to establish its first gourmet resort hotel. Featuring villas with private pools, or guest rooms with pools overlooking the sea and jacuzzis, and a spacious restaurant, this private resort offers the finest cuisine, accommodation and hospitality, inviting you to enjoy the luxury of doing nothing.
With its numerous historic sites, untouched natural beauty, and traditional houses with tiled roofs that evoke the original landscape of old Okinawa, the east coast offers very different attractions and places of interest from the west coast, which already has many resort hotels. The finest sight of all is the morning sun, rising above the endless horizon. Each day here starts with a magical sunrise, and is filled with the soothing power of Okinawa’s bountiful land and sea.
Our cuisine brings together Hiramatsu’s tradition of the finest French and Italian food in a grande maison of unprecedented inventiveness and imagination. Head chef Kenjiro Yoshikoshi, who has served as chef in many of Hiramatsu’s restaurants, invites you to step into the culinary world of Hiramatsu with dishes drawing inspiration from the natural spectacles of Hakone and the changing seasons.
Our chefs seek out the finest ingredients available on the day, from around Japan, and combine them to create delicious and playful cuisine in perfect harmony with the land and air of Okinawa. This grande maison set in lush green surroundings and looking out over the endless blue ocean invites you to enjoy an exceptional and elegant experience.
The hotel has 11 guest rooms, each with its own hot spring bath fed continuously with water direct from the famous hot springs of Hakone, inviting you to relax and unwind. Some draw white cloudy water from the Owakudani spring, others draw colourless transparent water from the Ubako spring. The interior décor combines natural travertine limestone and traditional decoration techniques such as stucco antico with vivid colours and modern design, to create a unique and special atmosphere. The guest rooms look out on the forest of Hakone, a landscape that changes continually through the seasons.
